About us

Wrightsons Developments is a family run property development and managment company based in Blackboys, East Sussex. Establised in 1982, we started out life buying a farm at a time when farming in Britian was faltering and farm land was relatively cheap. We converted the run down farm buildings into lettable commercial units. At this time diversification was a new concept in farming, and Wrightsons was at the forefront of the movement in the South of England. We gained recognition and awards for our work developing the buildings at Brownings, Possingworth and Dowerhouse Farms. Our early strategy was to convert the redundant and neglected farm buildings (such as stables and cow pens) into lettable units, to create new revenue streams for the farm. We endeavour to retain all the interesting features and history of the buildings, whilst bringing them up to modern standards. With a strong environmental ethos, we invest heavily in renewable energies such as solar arrays, EV chargers and biomass boilers. We later branched out into residential buildings aswell. Today we have a growing portfolio consisting of commercial and residential properties which are developed, managed and let to a wide variety of businesses and tenants. Whilst still remaining a family run business, with the second generation having taken over the operations.
